My office is in the Vancouver Mall area of Vancouver, WA.
To get to my office, take Highway 500 to the Vancouver Mall exit, turn left onto Thurston Way, and stay in the far-right lane. Turn right at the first set of traffic lights. Continue to the right past The Peaks Credit Union, around the front of the Vancouver Mall, to the stop sign, then turn right onto 94th (there is a light). Turn right into the 76 Gas Station parking lot, and go to the white building with the Hand Therapy Specialist sign.
Directions from the East: Take Highway 500 to the Vancouver Mall Exit, turn right onto Thurston Way, and follow the exact directions as from the West.
Directions from the North: 1-205 to the Vancouver Mall exit, straight across 4th Plain, turn left at the 94th light, and into the 76 Gas Station parking lot to the white building with the Hand Therapy Specialist sign.
My office is in the white building on the first floor, Suite 107. If you find the main doors locked, please call me on my cell at 360.690.6550 so I can let you in.
PS: If you use a GPS or Maps, there is a good chance you will be misdirected, get lost, and be frustrated!
I offer morning, afternoon, and evening hours from 10 AM to 7 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Client insurance will pay for no more than 50 minutes per session per day. There is no session time limit with other payment options, but I generally keep sessions to 60 or 90 minutes.
I am transitioning from insurance payment to out of pocket payment.
Setting up an appointment for the time slot and day you need is easy. Give me a call: Kathie Ray-Annis, LICSW, at (360) 690-6550 (I will contact you as soon as I can if you leave a message), or email me at krayannis@aol.com.
If you need to cancel, I greatly appreciate a 24-hour notice so that I can offer the session to someone else. If I do not receive a 24-hour notice, you will be responsible for paying for the session even though you are not present.
This is what makes my location so wonderful: there is ample free parking.
You do not need to pay any parking fee.
I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work and am licensed in the state of Washington as an Independent Clinical Social Worker. Throughout my 30 years as a therapist, I have worked in a variety of settings, including all the educational districts of Clark County and specialized evaluation programs, before opening my own private practice in 2006.
I have worked with children from ages 9 to 85-year-old mature adults. Currently, I am limiting my practice to the 16-to 85-year-old group.
The exception is that I provide a specialized evaluation for ADHD, Dyslexia, and Cognitive Discrimination for children nine years or older.
I work with women, men, and couples.
The first session focuses on how our different personalities fit and the issues that have brought you to me.
The next step is to develop a collaborative plan to find a path to positive change for your issue.
This depends on the kind of change that the client needs, but yes, I tend to provide thought-provoking assignments.
This is an excellent question because I focus on each client as needing an individual goal plan.
The goal is reached not by using a cookie-cutter approach, but by focusing on the client’s individual ability to achieve it.
Walk into my office with an open mind; do not fear asking any question. I am a mature therapist, and I have heard many things, but nothing has embarrassed or shocked me. I can help you the most by knowing your truth.
If at all possible, I like to see my client walk out of my office with a lighter heart and a sense of hope.
